Campsite Slasher Snippet

Felicia and Gregory are camping for a weekend getaway on the 4th of July in camp area D, site 7.

The screams started at around midnight or 1 AM. Felicia could not remember to the exact timeframe. What she does remember is the scream itself. A woman in undeniable pain. Pleading for someone to hear and come to her rescue.

Felicias husband, Gregory, grabbed his Taurus G2s, 9mm handgun and tore through the pitch dark in his skivvies, tripping and stumbling across the rough, rocky ground. Gregory managed to get to the campsite of D13. The screaming had subsided but the strong odor of iron was filling the air. Gregory, who had worked in an Emergency Room for five years knew that it was the smell of blood. The scent of blood is never erased from your mind.

Gregory grabbed the handle for the door and began to open it, gun raised when the door came back and clobbered him in the face, busting his nose open so that the smell of blood was now his own. Gregory did not lose the handle of his firearm, but did however lose his sight due to the water that was now infiltrating his eyes from the impact of the door.

Without knowing what direction the attacker ran, he did not want to wonder around in the dark more than he had to. Gregory checked the halfway ajar door to the camper and saw blood seeping out. More blood than you would see from just an artery being cut on. Gregory did not go inside, instead he ran, he ran as fast as he could back to his camper, and wife sitting in D7. Screaming

“CALL 911!!!”

Not Sorry If You Are This Kind of Fan

Everyone has an opinion that they can give, that really does not mean that you should. Anytime that there is a sporting event on, even in the college world, there are always “those” kinds of fans.

You may ask, “Who are you talking about?” Well to answer that question it would be the fans that want to criticize a student athlete on how they play or decisions that they make.

Please understand something, they are student athletes and are probably younger than you.

They will make mistakes or change their minds from time to time.

You may get angry about it and you may even decide to let your feelings get the best of you. That still does not give you the right to be negative towards or about them.

Yes you do have a right to your own opinion but think before you tweet or post on social media.

The reason this has come up this evening is in the midst of the post game press conference following the Arkansas @ Ole Miss basketball game a particular fan decided to make a fool of himself.

Yes I understand that you have an issue with the way a player has played in the past, but you look like a fool when you decide to say that this player isn’t buying in or playing hard.

Not every player is going to be a stat stuffer like you may wish, but if the player you criticize comes into the game and does exactly what the coach wants them to do then you should be happy with it.

The problem that has been continuous with this hogs team (given there hasn’t been many) has been trying to find a big man to give Adrio Bailey a rest every now and then.

Reggie Chaney entered the game the other night against LSU and struggled and ended his night quickly following a technical foul.

Let your anger towards him go and move on, and above all else shut up about criticizing student athletes.

Chaney comes into the game tonight and puts in a small amount of 4 minutes but it was a good 4 minutes. Sure he didn’t get any rebounds and sure he had 1 turnover and 1 personal foul but he gave Adrio Bailey a breather which was something that head coach Eric Musselman said he was looking for in this weeks press conference.

So with all of that being said, I’m sorry that Chaney didn’t live up to your expectations in this season, he hasn’t mine either BUT he came into the game tonight after a very forgettable showing at LSU and did exactly what the coach needed. So shut up, pull your big boy pants up and quit criticizing student athletes because you have nothing better to do.

The hogs moved to 13-2 tonight and 2-1 in conference play. They play Vanderbilt at home in a mid-week clash and next Saturday, Kentucky comes to Bud Walton.

GoHogs and WPS!

Sam Pittman Coordinators Hot Board

When Head Coach Sam Pittman mentioned that there were about 100 coaches that had messaged him to come to Arkansas and join his staff there was a good idea that it would not take long to get some coordinators on the staff. Therefore we now have a hot board of candidates for both offensive and defensive. We will start with offensive.

The leading candidate in many of the media’s eyes is Rhett Lashlee. The Springdale, Arkansas native has been around the power 5 conference for nearly a decade now. He started his career as a GA at the UofA, then jumped to Auburn, Samford, Arkansas State, Auburn 2.0, Uconn, and now has been at SMU the past 2 seasons. Where they have been ranked this season and finished with a record of 10-2.

The next candidate that I believe should be getting a lot of attention is Rich Rodriguez. He has been in and out of the power 5 as well. Did not have a great stint in Michigan but overall has not had bad stops other than that. Since Kiffin is coming into Ole Miss, I would almost bet that he will be leaving Ole Miss in the near future. Look for his name as a possibility moving forward.

A name that has been thrown around a lot because of his relationship with Pittman is Jay Johnson. I would not mind Johnson at all, he was with Pittman at Georgia and right now he is at Colorado as their offensive coordinator. Makes things interesting if he does in fact join Pittman because some say he may not fit in with what Pittman is wanting to do on offense.

The last name worth mentioning to me is Jim Chaney. The former offensive coordinator at Arkansas with Bret Beilema. Another close friend of Pittmans but that is all I am mentioning of him because I do not believe it will be a good hire. At least not for Arkansas.

Now it is time for the Defensive Coordinator position.

The leading candidate for me is Barry Odom. I would love this hire, I think he did not get enough credit for his job at Missouri and even leading them to bowl eligibility in a year that they can’t even qualify because of NCAA penalties. Think about having to get a team motivated for a season where there is not a happy ending. Their bowl game was basically beating Arkansas in War Memorial and then firing him. Barry Odom for Defensive Coordinator in my book, although there have been reports linking him to the Memphis head coaching job since Norvell has left for Florida State.

Second on this list is another former head coach who has been in the power 5 for a good while, Charlie Strong. The former Louisville/Texas/South Florida head coach is looking for his next stop since being fired from South Florida. Charlie Strong is 59 years old… yes, you read that right, because I thought he was much younger. He may be a job or 2 away from retirement but what better way to retire than helping the Razorbacks from his home state get back into the winning ways. I’m all for it but will Pittman see him as a candidate and will Strong want to come to NW Arkansas. I guess we will see.

Next to last we have Randy Shannon who I think may go with Kiffin to Ole Miss but lets just give it a chance to see if he would return to the UofA. Shannon was the LB coach under Bret Beilema for a season before returning to the state of Florida. I for one would love to see him back. He had a great 2 years with the hogs when he was here and had some fantastic players before heading to the Gators. The question would be is how long would he stay because he has for the most part stayed in Florida his entire career except for a 3 year span at TCU and Arkansas. I guess he likes the beach.

Lastly I would throw out Tray Scott, the George defensive line coach. There has been some speculation that he could come with Pittman a the same position but I don’t think so. I think it would have to be a promotion for him to leave Georgia. He would probably be making less money for a horizontal move from Georgia to Arkansas, but if it was a vertical move up the chain then I would say there is a chance.

The ball is in Pittmans hands at who he wants to fill his staff out with but these are just some options. Let me know what you think or if you could see it being someone else. Have a great and blessed day and GO HOGS!!! YES-SIRRRRRR!!!

Arkansas’ New Head Coach Sam Pittman

After a month of a coaching search, the Arkansas athletic director Hunter Yurachek has found a new head coach. Sam Pittman will be the next head coach at the UofA.

To many, it seemed that this search was a lost cause after Lane Kiffin jumped ship to Ole Miss at the 12th hour. According to a report on Lane Kiffin, there was an agreement in place and was all but signed with Arkansas. Then Kiffin interviewed with Ole Miss, and his agent Jimmy Sexton told HY that Ole Miss had a better offer. HY made the decision that he would not get into a bidding war with them and said that they were moving on. Afterward, Sexton said that Arkansas did have the higher offer and they were still interested but HY told them no and the search continued. Afterward, Hunter Yurachek did what many fans agree with and what former players had hoped for and went after Pittman.

Pittman has been around the game for years, he is a great recruiter and he did just that in his 3 years at Arkansas under former coach Bret Beilema. Arkansas had the heaviest and strongest offensive lines in not just college football but NFL as well.

The following is his coaching career per Wikipedia, and his only head coaching job in college was at Hutchinson CC where he went 11-9-1.

1984–1985Pittsburg State (GA)
1986Beggs HS (OK) (OC)
1987–1988Princeton Junior-Senior HS (MO)
1989–1990Trenton HS (MO)
1991Hutchinson CC (OL)
1992–1993Hutchinson CC
1994–1995Northern Illinois (OL)
1996Cincinnati (OT/TE)
1997–1998Oklahoma (OL)
1999Western Michigan (AHC)
2000Missouri (OL)
2001Kansas (OL)
2003Northern Illinois (OL)
2004–2006Northern Illinois (AHC)
2007–2010North Carolina (OL)
2011North Carolina (AHC/OL)
2012Tennessee (OL)
2013–2015Arkansas (AHC/OL)
2016–2018Georgia (OL)
2019Georgia (AHC/OL)
2020–presentArkansas

Pittman will have his hands full this next season with one of the toughest schedules that Arkansas has ever had. A non-conference game against Notre Dame, along with the SEC schedule where Tennessee is on the schedule this next season. Kent State, Charleston Southern, and UL Monroe round out the non-conference slate.

I believe that the sell for Yurachek with Pittman was that he wanted to come here. He loved his time at the UofA and Beilema was the reason that he left because Pittman is a recruiter and Beilema quit trying to recruit as much and according to some reports was drinking on the job. Now I am not sure if that is true or not but if so then I understand why Pittman left.

Anyway, Pittman was a great hire for fans and a safe hire for the UofA. There will be no major contract or a large buyout for Pittman. If he is successful which I fully expect him to be, then you will see that buyout becomes more of a thing but as of this moment, there will be no major buyout.

There will be a press conference at approximately 3-3:30 today introducing Pittman. As always GO HOGS, WPS, and YES-SIR!!!!

Arkansas Coaching Search

The Arkansas coaching search is getting to fans. It is getting to them on social media. It is getting into their heads as a whole. The name Jimmy Sexton is getting to them as well. It was reported yesterday that Ole Miss is now in the running for Lane Kiffin, the man that most fans have said they would approve of the hire.

I do not claim sources, because I get tired of that cliche. I will say that I have it on good authority that the Lane Kiffin hire is completed and the announcement will possibly come on Sunday.

Before you start asking me how I know this, I will tell you that the people that I believe know more than the average fan, and also know more than the average media members have said so. There have been many names linked to the job but 2 of them have signed extensions (Campbell – Iowa State, Leach – Washington State). Norvell is probably on his way to FSU. Fuente has been mentioned but I think the loss to Virginia hurt his chances (as if losing 1 game is something that Arkansas should worry about). Gus beat Alabama, Butch Davis is too old to rebuild in many fan’s eyes.

I still believe there is a dark horse in this search that nobody is mentioning anymore. Harsin from Boise State. You look at his coaching record, he is 43 years of age and he has been successful at both of his stops. At Arkansas State he went 7-5 in his lone season, this was when Arkansas State went thru 3 coaches in 3 seasons. Then he joined Boise State where he has gone 63-16 in his 6 seasons. I have not understood why he has not been mentioned very much but he should be.

As of this moment though I believe the decision has been made and Kiffin will be the next head hog on the hill.

WPS!!! GoHogs!!!

Coach Search Update

Mike Leach is now out of the running for the Arkansas Razorbacks head coaching job. My list from this morning had him in the top 3. Mike Leach signed an extension through 2024 with the Washington State Cougars. With that being the case my hot list is down to:
Lane Kiffin
Justin Fuente
Both of which would have a possibility of a big defensive coordinator either way. Lane Kiffin – Randy Shannon or Justin Fuente – Barry Odom.

By the looks of it, it sounds like Lane Kiffin is still the front runner at this time followed by Fuente, Fritz, and Davis. If there are any other announcements made today then you will probably hear it from many outlets including yours truly.

Thank you and have a wonderful Thursday!!! WPS!!! Go Hogs!!!

Coaching Carousel 3.0

PRESENT CHANGES (MOST RECENT-LEAST RECENT)

Colorado State, Mike Bobo Part Ways from one another. After going 7-6 each of his first 3 seasons (0-3 in bowl games), the last two years he has went 3-9, and 4-8. Finishing 28-35 in 5 years, and .500 in conference play.

Christ Petersen steps down at Washington. After a great coaching record at Boise State for 8 years (92-12), Petersen changed venues in 2014 and decided to take over the Washington Huskies where he followed his Boise State record with a very good record at Washington (54-26). Including a playoff berth in 2016. Jimmy Lake has been named head coach following Petersen’s departure.

Old Dominion fired Bobby Wilder after 10 years at the school. A respectable coaching record at Old Dominion, turned poor in the last 2 seasons. After the first 8 seasons where Wilder’s teams went 72-37. The last 2 seasons have went downhill, going 4-8 and this year 1-11. Forcing Old Dominion to move on from the longest tenured coach on this list of dismissals.

Ole Miss fired Matt Luke. After the “Ole Piss” nickname was taken to a whole new meaning on Saturday between Mississippi State and Ole Miss. One school keeps their coach while the other one gets fired. Matt Luke has went 15-21 (6-18 in conference) since the firing of Hugh Freeze after he was found of cheating in recruiting. It was reported he was notified while in the home of a recruit and he still tried to get the recruit to go to Ole Miss.

Boston College fired Steve Addazio after going 44-44 in his 7 seasons at the school. Never surpassing the 7 win mark it was past time for the school to move on from Addazio but look for him to get another head coaching job at a group of 5 in the near future. His overall coaching record sits at 57-55.

South Florida: Dan Wolken has reported that Charlie Strong will not return as their head coach next season. Since leaving Louisville for Texas, Strong has went 37-37 in his stints at Texas and South Florida after going 37-15 at Louisville.

UTSA: UTSA fired their head coach Frank Wilson after 4 seasons, Wilson went 19-29 overall but expect him to land on his feet really quickly as he has been noted as a very good recruiter in the South.

Missouri: Missouri fired Barry Odom after this season where he ended the season beating the Razorbacks in Little Rock 24-14. He went 25-25 overall, expect someone to pick up Barry Odom as a defensive coordinator if no head coaching jobs become available for him. (He does have connections with some coaches in the running for the Razorbacks job).

Rutgers: Chris Ash was fired by Rutgers earlier in the season and his replacement has already been hired (see hires below).

New Mexico: Bob Davie and New Mexico have decided to part ways, the 65 year old struggled this year at the helm after going 2-9 this season 0-7 in conference.

UNLV: Tony Sanchez was fired after going 19-40 in his career there.

Arkansas fired Chad Morris after going 4-18 in less than 2 seasons.

Florida State fired Willie Taggart after he was not living up to expectations in the Seminole school.

COACHES BEING RETAINED:

Clay Helton of USC has had one heck of a roller coaster ride so far this season. Seat has been boiling at times and then it has been reported and re-reported that he was fired and then kept. As of this moment he is still the head coach of USC.

Joe Moorhead will return as head coach with the Mississippi State Bulldogs for next season. According to reports, the victory against Ole Miss helped his cause for return.

Kevin Sumlin set to return to Arizonas sidelines next season. After going 4-8 this season Sumlin has been unable to do very well in the desert but their AD has said dismissing him is not something they intend to do.

Will Muschamp is expected to be the head coach at South Carolina next season.

RAZORBACKS HEAD COACHING SEARCH:

It has been reported that 2 assistants for the UofA have been informed not to list their houses on the market. Barry Lunney Jr. who was the interim head coach is expected to be retained, along with Jeff Traylor, the running backs coach.

As of the moment there are still 3 names at the top of the hogs list and there has been fans plane watching just about everywhere that you can think of. The 3 names that have constantly been mentioned are:
Lane Kiffin
Mike Leach
Justin Fuente
Honorable Mentioned:
Willie Fritz
Butch Davis
Gus Malzahn

Lane Kiffin has been the front runner in the Arkansas rumors and will probably remain that way until either he or someone else is announced. One thing that I do like about Kiffin being hired is the possibility of Randy Shannon coming back as defensive coordinator. Shannon was a LB coach with Arkansas under Beilema for a season.

Mike Leach talks have died down in the recent days and it seems like the razorback fans have also let them go a lot. Seems to me that most want Kiffin over Leach. I am also in that boat just because of the age and unsure if Leach can get a defensive coordinator to come to Arkansas and turn it around.

Justin Fuente was also a name that seemed to get a lot of attention last week but has also slowed down a bit. Perhaps that was because of the loss to Virginia but I am not really sure. The appealing thing about Fuente is that if he is hired then I would hope that Barry Odom would be his defensive coordinator. That is very appealing to me.

For the sake of length in this post I will not go thru the honorable mentions, they are noted just for the sake that they are rumored… but don’t expect Gus Malzahn… not happening.

As always if there are any questions then please comment on here or twitter @grayman1410. Go Hogs WPS!!!

Arkansas Vs. Austin Peay + Arkansas Coaching Search 3.0

Arkansas was at home on Tuesday night for a game against Austin Peay. This game turned out to be more of an officials game than the players game. It is often said that a game has to be in basketball form for it to be a good game. That is very difficult when the officials are calling ticky tack fouls on both ends of the court all night long. At one point there were 2 carrying violations… something that doesn’t happen in college basketball very often, and definitely doesn’t happen at the professional level.

Arkansas led majority of the game but very seldom was able to pull away from Austin Peay before they would score a few baskets to bring the game back within reach. In the end though the hogs pulled out a good win to go 8-0 on the season. Winning by a score of 69-61.

Stat leaders:
Points – Jimmy Whitt Jr. (17)
Assists – Isaiah Joe (6)
Rebounds – Jalen Harris (3)

Arkansas will play again on Saturday, December 7th at home against Western Kentucky (6-3). They will look to go 9-0 for the first time in 25 years by my calculation (93-94 season) which is also the year they won the National Championship. Am I saying that this team is National Championship bound? No, but it is a great start to the Musselman era.

COACHING SEARCH:

Many believed that by today we would have a new head coach, there have been rumors that Kiffin is the guy that is getting the job but other reports and “sources” are saying that nothing is complete and that they are waiting until after the coaching search. Kiffin is still the frontrunner and majority of fans have given their approval if they are on twitter. Others are still on the Leach side, and even still have support for Gus.

Gus is not going to happen and he will stay in Auburn for another year until he is on the hotseat all over again.

Leach is still in the running but I don’t know if they will choose him because of his age. I know that it sounds off kilter for saying that but it is my opinion. Leach is a great coach and I believe that if we would have gotten him in the last hire then he would still be here and actually be taking us somewhere other than 2-10 for 2 straight seasons.

Butch Davis has still been in the loop but again I don’t believe this one will happen and I think it is just him possibly getting a raise out of the ordeal.

Justin Fuente is another option that I highly support but he has even lost tread in this search. If he was to be hired I would look at him to hire Barry Odom as his defensive coordinator. I think it will be a stretch for this hire as well but it is not out of the equation.

Last but certainly not least you have Matt Campbell and he is not out of the circle. Campbell signed an extension with Iowa State. Terms have not been released on his extension yet but it is likely to be in the 4+ million range since his pay increase was in 2017 where he received 3.5 million per year following that season.

Again if there are any errors in this please let me know, if there are any other candidates that you believe should be mentioned, comment on here or on twitter @grayman1410. Thank you, GOHOGS, WPS!!!

Arkansas Vs. Northern Kentucky + Coaching Carousel 2.0

The Arkansas Razorbacks men’s basketball team returned home after their 1 point win against Georgia Tech on the road. Their home game against Northern Kentucky (5-2) had a very good crowd in the arena and it kinda had that feeling of some magic returning to Bud Walton Arena. The game did not start out very well for the hogs as they struggled form the floor. Mason Jones did not play in this game due to a shoulder injury so there would have to be some points coming from other areas to fill in the void. Arkansas ended the first half on a very good run to take the lead before the horn and they went into the locker room with a 33-28 lead.

Into the second half every now and again it seemed that Arkansas was going to start pulling away, having a 12 point lead at one point midway thru the half. Northern Kentucky would bring it back to within 2 points late and Adrio Bailey would get a good rebound and get fouled to put the hogs up by 4 points. In the end the hogs would escape Nolan Richardson Court with a W 66-60. The hogs move to 7-0 on the season and their next game will be against Austin Peay Governors (3-3) at home at 7:00 p.m. December the 3rd.

Stat leaders Vs. Northern Kentucky:
Pts – Jimmy Whitt Jr. (24)
Ast – J. Harris, R. Chaney (5)
Reb – R. Chaney (11)

COACHING CAROUSEL 2.0

ONLY A RUMOR THUS FAR: There is a report circulating about USC having moved on from Clay Helton, however this has not been confirmed or denied as of yet.

Coaching changes that have taken effect are

Rutgers: Chris Ash was fired by Rutgers earlier in the season and his replacement has been rumored for a while (see hiring rumors below)
NEW REPORT!!! – Rutgers have agreed to have Greg Schiano return as their head coach. Schiano signs a 8 year, 32 million dollar deal to return to Rutgers where he coached for 11 years and had their best season in 2006 when the Scarlet Knights wen 11-2

New Mexico: Bob Davie and New Mexico have decided to part ways, the 65 year old struggled this year at the helm after going 2-9 this season 0-7 in conference.

UNLV: Tony Sanchez was fired after going 19-40 in his career there.

Coaches Returning:

Joe Moorhead will return as head coach with the Mississippi State Bulldogs for next season. According to reports, the victory against Ole Miss helped his cause for return.

Kevin Sumlin set to return to Arizonas sidelines next season. After going 4-8 this season Sumlin has been unable to do very well in the desert but their AD has said dismissing him is not something they intend to do.

Will Muschamp is expected to be the head coach at South Carolina next season.

RAZORBACKS HEAD COACHING SEARCH:

The head coaching search for the head hog in NW Arkansas are still underway. There have been some speculation that sometime in mid next week we will have an answer as to who it may be. One name that we can cross of that list now that Auburn has won the Iron Bowl is Gus Malzahn. If they would have lost to Alabama there would have been a chance that they would have moved on from Gus in another direction and Arkansas would swoop in and take him. Don’t expect that to happen now.

Lane Kiffin and his team is going to a conference championship again as Florida Atlantic moves to 9-3 on the season. Between them making the conference championship and Lane Kiffen being Lane Kiffin, he could jump ship and go ahead and take the Razorbacks job but as of right now there is no reports out there.

Mike Leach is still out there as a possibility, he was very vocal to a reporter after losing the Apple Cup for a 7th straight season but everything is looking like he will return again to Washington State. Many fans said that they did not like how he responded to the reporter on twitter but those are a lot of the fans that said Chad Morris’ post game transcript style presser was not enjoyable at all. I mean the man was 4-18 so there really wasn’t much to say anyway.

Justin Fuente is a hot name right now even after losing to Virginia. As mentioned before Barry Odom worked with a coach that is in the Arkansas rumor mill and that is Fuente. Both worked together at Memphis and it is believed that if Fuente were to get the head hog position that Odom could very likely have a reunion and become the new defensive coordinator. If that were the case he would have to help Fuente avoid another season like this one on the defensive side of the ball where Arkansas reached historic lows this year. I really like this hire if it were to take place.

Matt Cambell was reportedly linked to the hogs job last week and it was thought that he was the go to guy at that point. Those rumors have died down substantially but it still is possible that this could be just the calm before the next storm of reports. I don’t think the hogs will go this way but I have definitely been wrong plenty of times in my life and do not claim that I have so called “sources” to attach to my information.

My rankings out of the candidates mentioned:
1. Justin Fuente
2. Mike Leach
3. Lane Kiffin
4. Matt Cambell
130. Gus Malzahn

Thank you for reading and if you have any questions or comments please let me know!!!

WPS!!! GO HOGS!!!

Arkansas Vs. Missouri Reaction + Coaching Carousel

After attending the game in Little Rock between Arkansas and Missouri, also known as Senior Day 2.0. Arkansas fans still love their hogs. On an overcast day, for a 2-10 team, and an abysmal season got the hogs. Razorback fans still showed up to the game and the coaches and players gave them something to cheer about. Sure the stadium wasn’t full, and all Little Rock games have been criticized lately for lack of attendance. Yet, to have 33,000 plus in that stadium, it was still a very hot crowd.

Arkansas and Missouri isn’t a rivalry, and it’s not going to really be that anytime soon, but both teams came out and played really hard. Swapping the lead a few times before Missouri pulled away towards the end, it made me happy to see the players trying to play for Lunney and finish the season the right way.

The hogs would eventually fall to the tigers 24-14 and ending this dreadful season and going 2-10.

Onto the coaching carousel… Missouri after beating Arkansas has reportedly fired Barry Odom as head coach. Florida State and Arkansas fired their coaches 3 + weeks ago.

Other coaching changes that have taken effect are

Rutgers: Chris Ash was fired by Rutgers earlier in the season and his replacement has been rumored for a while (see hiring rumors below)

New Mexico: Bob Davie and New Mexico have decided to part ways, the 65 year old struggled this year at the helm after going 2-9 this season 0-7 in conference.

UNLV: Tony Sanchez was fired after going 19-40 in his career there.

HIRING RUMORS:

FootballScoop.com reported on Wednesday that Florida Atlantic head coach Lane Kiffin had been “vetted” by Florida State as it seeks to meet its self-assigned end-of-November deadline to hire Taggart’s successor.

It has also been reported that Greg Schiano and Rutgers have yet to close the door on a reunion.

The question still remains though, what will HY do at Arkansas and who are the top candidates at this point.

Justin Fuente

Matt Campbell

Lane Kiffin

Mike Leach

Gus Malazahn

Those are the top 5 in many media members eyes and what has been reported the most. I would say that by Monday– Wednesday we will have a new head hog leading the football program.

Who would you like to see out of these 5?

Is there anyone that you would like to see on that list?

Let me know in the comments or on twitter @grayman1410.

WooPig!!! GoHogs!!!
